Therapy for
Preteens & Teens

Why bother? Who cares?

Your grades are down again, and you find it hard to even care.

The boy or girl that you’ve been crushing on for months is now going out with someone you hate.

After-school activities that were a source of great fun no longer hold your interest.

Connecting with your friends and family is requires too much effort.

All you want to do is listen to music and play your video games. Shut away in your room, you hope no one disturbs you – at the same time, you hope someone will notice.

You’re tired of your parents’ lectures and advice. What you really want is to be heard…

When expectations for perfection are overwhelming…

Preteens and teenagers today face a unique set of circumstances which have never been faced before by previous generations.

The burden to present a flawless life (and body) on social media is in your face each time you ‘connect.’ Then there is the expectation of perfection that must be achieved to get into the best school, because that guarantees the best job… or so you’ve been told.

The pressure on all sides (and from within) is stifling and suffocating. These are the things that teenagers like you contend with on a daily, if not constant, basis.

Let’s imagine a different life… and learn how to reach it.

Imagine finding someone to talk to who will just listen to what you have to say… no agenda… no lecture…a nd sometimes, not even prepared answers.

Imagine having a person willing to discover with you what it is you really want and need, without judgment or preconceived notions about what’s good for you.

Imagine having someone there to help you, with no plan other than to help you… someone who is not afraid of how intensely you feel what you feel or think what you think… someone who’s not scared to admit “I don’t know…”

Let’s search for answers.
